Policies & Procedures

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

To submit an application for funding to Dancers' Career Development, the following details need to be included:

  • A completed DCD registration form
  • A completed DCD application form
  • A Dance Career CV
  • A covering letter addressed to the Trustees
  • Information on the course/equipment
  • A detailed application budget


AWARD GRANTING PROCESS
The Trustees of Dancers' Career Development meet five times per year to assess all retraining applications. Applications need to be received a minumum of three weeks prior to a Trustee meeting in order to be processed and distributed. Please speak to the DCD administrator to enquire about relevant award submission deadlines. As a general guideline applications for funding should be submitted a minimum of three months prior to the beginning of any training.

AWARDEE REQUIREMENTS
Once an application has been submitted to the Board of Trustees applicants will receive a letter informing them of the outcome of their application. If applicants are awarded a retraining or business start up grant they will also receive a DCD Funding Agreement, which outlines further details of their award. The Funding Agreement needs to be read and signed by the Awardee and returned to DCD before any monies can be paid to equipment or training providers.

AWARD CHANGES AND DEADLINES
Any changes (i.e. a change in training providers) to an award will have to be applied for in writing. Any award made by DCD will be valid for two years but can be extended in writing if necessary.
