Virgin Money London Marathon 2015

Scottish Ballet Artistic Director Christopher Hampson runs the 2015 Virgin Money London Marathon on behalf of Dancers' Career Development

On Sunday 26th April 2015 Christopher Hampson ran the historic 26.6 mile route around London raising money for professional dancers in the UK. You can still support Christopher via his Virgin Money Giving Sponsorship Page until the end of May 2015 here.

So far Christopher has raised £5,256.20 for dancers!

All sponsorship raised will go towards supporting all professional dancers in the United Kingdom to navigate a positive career transition when their performance career comes to an end. Scottish Ballet are a long-standing funder of Dancers' Career Development.

- £20 pays for a professional dancer to have a confidential one to one consultation with a DCD member of staff

- £100 pays for a professional dancer to have a 60 minute one to one Coaching session with Isabel Mortimer, certified Personal and Executive Coach CPCC

- £150 pays for a 90 minute Careers Profiling session with psychologist Andrew Evans

Christopher trained at the Royal Ballet Schools. His choreographic work began there and continued at English National Ballet, where he danced until 1999 and for whom he subsequently created numerous award-winning works, including Double Concerto, Perpetuum Mobile, Country Garden, Concerto Grosso and The Nutcracker.

Christopher joined Scottish Ballet as Artistic Director in August 2012.

As a keen Marathon runner, Christopher has completed two Edinburgh Marathons and has also participated in marathon events in Paris, Cape Town and Athens.
