DCD Retrained dancer Andre Portasio and A.P Productions presents 'Jealousy' a collaboration between Dance & Sculpture, in association with The Print Room
Jealousy is a collaborative production between Sculpture and Choreography that explores our relationship to objects, images and architecture as a means to represent internal states of the human psyche. Using the narrative structure of the cine-novel Jealousy (1957) as inspiration our production collages together the key elements of soundscape, material, light, spectator viewpoint and movement to explore the audience’s perception of truth.
Alain Robbe-Grillet's novel 'Jealousy' was the starting point and inspiration for this new commission, which was developed by the visual artist Laurence Kavanagh. The project involves acclaimed choreographers including James Cousins winner of New Adventures Choreographer Award; Morgann Runacre-Temple, Hubert Essakow and Daniel Hay Gordon.
